My Role

Overview

FITME is a fashion app that helps users find their ideal size through personalized recommendations and virtual try-ons. It simplifies online shopping and reduces returns.

Problem

Online shoppers struggle with inconsistent sizing and lack of try-on options, leading to frustration and returns.

FITME offers size recommendations and virtual try-ons with customizable avatars, making shopping easier and more accurate.

Solution

User Research

  • Users rely on descriptions and reviews to make purchase decisions.

  • Inconsistent sizing makes it hard to choose the right fit.

  • Lack of product info makes decision-making difficult.

Pain Points from User Interviews

Competitive Analysis

I analyzed key fashion platforms to identify strengths and gaps in size recommendation and virtual try-on features.

Empathy Map

Mapped user pain points around sizing and lack of try-on options in online shopping.

I created a persona for FITME’s typical user—someone who values accurate sizing, convenience, and a confident shopping experience.

Persona

User Flows

I mapped out key user flows to illustrate how users engage with FITME’s features—size recommendation and virtual try-on—for a tailored shopping experience.

Wireframes

Low-Fidelity

Low-fidelity wireframes covering key screens such as account creation, avatar setup, body measurement input, virtual try-on, and size recommendations.

Mid-Fidelity

After validating the core user flow through low-fidelity sketches, I created mid-fidelity wireframes to define layout, structure, and interactions in more detail.

Style Guide

High-Fidelity

High-fidelity designs showcasing FITME’s key screens, including personalized size recommendations and virtual try-on.

Usability Testing

I conducted usability tests with five participants, giving each person three tasks to complete.

  • 100% of users were unclear how to get size recommendations.

  • 80% of users wanted to see a visual confirmation or notification after adding items.

  • 40% of users skipped the steps to complete the body measurements.

Revision

Guided by usability testing and user feedback, I made several key updates to improve clarity and navigation.

Final Prototype

Refelction

Designing FITME allowed me to address real user frustrations around sizing and create a more personalized, confident shopping experience. This project strengthened my skills in user-centered design, and I look forward to refining the experience through broader testing and continued focus on accessibility.
